Yammy Bear and Family has given away over 10,000 + stuffed animals since its conception in 2021! We have seen our compassion ministry’s impact greatly increased when we started pairing our events and visits with the gift of stuffed animals! We have given stuffed animals freely to children, seniors, and all the young at heart, to residents of nursing homes, schools, hospitals, shelters, treatment facilities, memorial and vigils sites, to survivors and families of mass shootings, and even to those who endured natural disasters! You never know what someone is going through and the joy and encouragement that comes from a cute bear and a high five is priceless! Atreyu
Atreyu was born with End Stage Renal Disease! When Yammy Bear and Family first met Atreyu at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN he was receiving 3 hour dialysis sessions, 3 days a week, at just 3 years old and still awaiting a life saving kidney donation! When his nana Deanie invited us to one of his dialysis appointments to bring HIM encouragement and comfort we had no idea just how much his smile and strength would forever change our lives and the direction of our ministry! Since then we have become family and shared countless hugs, high fives, smiles, prayers, and tears! We are grateful to say that on October 1st, 2022 Atreyu received a kidney donation because of the decision a family made after a tragic loss of their loved one. We are very thankful for the family and keep the family in our prayers every single day. We hope someday Atreyu will have the privilege of meeting his hero’s family.

Survivor of Robb Elementary School Massacre in Uvalde, Texas
Gilberto
On May 24th, 2022 a gunman rampaged through Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX for more then an hour and a half before he was stopped. A few weeks after the incident 10 year old Gilberto’s mother Corina asked Yammy Bear if he’d come encourage Gilberto. She shared that her son was in one of the classrooms at Robb Elementary School, where the gunman killed 19 children and two teachers. She told us that even though Gilberto’s teacher shielded him while he was crouched under a table, a bullet that hit one of his friends ricocheted and hit Gilberto in the leg. Yammy Bear and Family quickly began fundraising and were able to go visit Gilberto and took along 500 stuffed animals for others impacted by the tragedy. We were honored to not only meet Gilberto, his parents, and brothers but his grandparents, aunts, uncle, and cousins as well!

Residents of Rochester East Health Services
Yammy Bear and Family visited residents for a Valentines Day event in 2022! In addition to gifting everyone stuffed animals we also donated 50 + coloring books, crossword, and word search puzzle books. Yammy Bear serenaded and danced with residents to classic love songs and ballads while volunteers colored and fellowshipped with the residents. Afterwards, we all had cake donated by The Rochester Walmart South Bakery.
